Have Your Say Tyrone!
Sunday, October 15th, 2006As our community continues to change, as well as our lifestyles, it is important we ensure that the Community Centre continues to benefit our community. The TCC has a great history of doing just that for the past 30 years, thanks to it’s many giving volunteers.
Please come and join us for a brainstorming workshop on October 14th (9:30 a.m. – 1pm) at Tyrone Community Centre. Some of the topics of this structured workshop will be:
VISION
- What is our purpose as a community centre?
- What areas are we doing well and what areas can we improve upon?
- Is the Tyrone community changing and should we change with it?
- What can we learn from the past and or from other community centres (in and outside Tyrone)?
- What is the perception of the Tyrone Community Centre?
- Does it really matter to have a community centre when so many people’s lives are outside the community?
- Should we improve the operational side of the community centre?
- Should we have a vision statement?
- Should we work closer with the other centres in Tyrone?
ACTIVITIES
- What activities today support our vision?
- How do we get volunteers?
- Do the activities we do fit with the Tyrone of today?
- Fund raising/Maintenance costs vs free use of the Centre?
